Clipwise Screen Recorder – Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026 · Developer: Divine Barbany

Clipwise records your screen on Amazon Fire tablets and Fire TV devices. We built it so that your recordings never leave your device unless you decide to move them.

Data we collect

None. Clipwise has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs and no tracking. We do not collect, store or sell any personal information.

Screen and audio recordings

Recordings are created only after you approve the system screen-capture prompt and are saved locally in the Movies/ScreenRecorder folder of your device. Microphone and app audio are captured only when you choose an audio option and grant the microphone permission. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

Wi-Fi transfer

The optional Wi-Fi transfer screen runs a small web server on your local network only while that screen is open, so you can download your videos to a phone or computer. It is protected by a random address shown on your screen, does not use the internet, and stops when you leave the screen.

Permissions

• Screen capture – to record the screen (asked every time by the system).
• Microphone – only if you choose to record sound.
• Notifications – to show recording controls.
• Display over other apps – optional floating controls.
• Storage (older Fire OS versions only) – to save videos to your Movies folder.
• Network – only for the local Wi-Fi transfer.

Children

Clipwise does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
