GLP Buddy is a personal tracking app for people who use weekly GLP-1 medications. It is designed so that your information stays on your iPhone. This page explains what the app handles and why.
Injections, doses, injection sites, weight, protein and water intake, side effects, daily check-ins, pen supply and refill costs, notes and your goals are stored only on your device, in the app's local database. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. You can delete everything at any time from Settings > Delete all data, or by deleting the app.
If you turn on Sync with Apple Health, GLP Buddy asks for permission to read and write three data types: body mass (weight), dietary water and dietary protein. Data read from Apple Health is used only to show your charts and daily totals inside the app. Data the app writes to Apple Health is only the values you log. HealthKit data never leaves your device through GLP Buddy, is not stored in iCloud by the app, is not used for advertising or marketing, and is never shared with third parties. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app under Sharing > Apps > GLP Buddy.
Injection-day, refill, water and protein reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They are never sent from a server and never contain marketing. You can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings.
If you enable App Lock, iOS verifies your Face ID, Touch ID or passcode. The app only receives a success or failure result; biometric data is never accessible to GLP Buddy.
Reports and progress cards are generated on your device. They are shared only if you choose to share them, through the standard iOS share sheet, with the recipients you pick.
GLP Buddy Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Payments are processed entirely by Apple; we never see or store your payment details. Subscription status is checked on your device with Apple's StoreKit.
Occasionally the app asks Apple to show the standard rating prompt. This is handled by iOS; we receive no personal data from it.
GLP Buddy is a tracking tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or dosing recommendations. Always follow the instructions of your prescriber.
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date.
