Clearwise frees up storage on Android phones and tablets. Cleaning happens entirely on your device: your files and the list of your apps are never uploaded by Clearwise.
To find junk, Clearwise reads the names, sizes and dates of files it is allowed to access (app cache, screenshots, large files, photos and videos for the duplicate finder). Duplicate detection compares file contents on the device. The App Manager reads the apps installed on your device and, if you allow usage access, their size, cache and last-used date. This information is shown only to you and is not stored or transmitted. Files are deleted only after you review them and confirm; Android asks for an extra confirmation before photos or videos are deleted.
Clearwise is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process data such as the advertising ID, IP address (approximate location), device information, app interactions with ads and diagnostic data. This is governed by Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Where required (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and in some US states), Clearwise asks for your consent with Google's consent message before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.
We (the developer) do not collect, store or sell any personal information. Clearwise has no account system and no analytics of its own. The only data processed by third parties is the advertising data described above.
Clearwise is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
